His name was as big as Monet in western art history. He was the first elected president of Xiling Artists Association. Leader of HaiPai (Shanghai School) which was a predominant art style from Qing dynasty.
A collection of paintings in late Qing Dynasty Master Wu Changshuo. As a calligrapher and seal carver, his works were full of energy. Master Wu was the leader of expressive floral and birds painting. Under him, were several famous artists in contemporary year--Chi (Qi) Baishi was one of Wu's students. Some famous artists from modern LingNan School were studied from Master Wu.
Yuming proudly considers himself as partially the 4th generation of Wu style.
